Karen Iles

Karen is the Director and Principle Solicitor at Violet Co Legal & Consulting based in Sydney, NSW. Violet Co focuses on employment and workplace law, corporate governance and risk. In particular it supports employers and employees with issues such as workplace sexual harassment, gender-based violence and discrimination and racial harassment and discrimination. 

In addition to her private practice, Karen is a Board Director who is adept at working with Catholic organisations. Karen is a Graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has held non-executive board directorships with not-for-profit organisations consistently and consecutively for 20 years.  

Karen is also a descendant of the Dharug people and is a sexual assault survivor. Karen’s personal and professional experience allows her to understand and integrate true trauma-informed practices into the review process of the National Appeals and Review Panel.
